Thefts?

So I've met some really nice people down here at Portsmouth University.

A good friend here regularly hosts house parties as he is in private accommodation; this usually results in lots of people, lots of drink, and pleeeenty of drunken antics.

But, there is always the spoil sports. Why do people feel the need to steal at house parties?
Cigarettes, alcohol and aftershave were taken - really do not understand how people can be so mean like that.

Sale season

Going through the city center and there is signs coming at you left right and center advertising sales.
They're all pretty cheek advertising 50percent off, however its only 50percent off second purchases etc
Still tempting, if only i had some money as a student i could capitalize on the sales

Lawn Mowers

Like seriously, why are the caretakers allowed the use lawnmowers from about 6am, when they know it'll wake up the whole village?

The same with allowing maintenance men to use electric drills and saw starting at 6am - these are not the sounds we want to be hearing at this time of day!

On the plus side, another weekend is almost upon us to rest. TGIF.

Bit off topic

So last night was a blast, slept at my girlfriends place.
She has popped out so I am giving the new Five Finger Death Punch album a real listen and it is fantastic. Well worth the download for all those into mental!

Fieldwork

Fieldwork was completed yesterday, however we may need to do it again because a group member has been too lazy to turn up (we've put it off twice for him, and he said he could attend Monday). We braved the wind, rain and coldness Monday to complete the work; will be a kick in the teeth if we need to redo it due to their reluctance.

Off to a Banghra(?) night tonight, time for some curry curry!

Gym gym gym

So the initial plan of going to the gym 5 days a week has faltered due to tiredness of my muscles, I presume over time when I get back into shape, 5 days a week will be feasible.

Going to the gym is one of my main hobbies (not a fitness freak, I just enjoy it). It's just a shame at the weekend here, the transport links are atrocious. University buses stop running at 4.20? It sucks.

Still, it's a very good university. I had my first GIS )Geographical Information Systems) session yesterday, which I will make a post on in the future once i've grasped some aspects of it.

Fieldwork, part 2

Unfortunately nothing happened on Wednesday, as my group didn't reply.

Hey oh, though, what can you do. We will just do it another time.

On the plus side, I went to the University Gym again. It is a very good gym which has just been refurbished, plus the staff are really helpful.

Fieldwork day

Monday is meant to be fieldwork day. However, fieldwork was not carried out on Monday because some people were too lazy to show up.

I'm hoping to complete it tomorrow, Wednesday, with the 4 other people. It's part of the final grade so I don't know why people are being so lazy!

Flatmates

I'm feeling a tad left out with my flatmates. I've barely made conversation with 5 out of the 6 others, and they kinda use my equipment without permission. I've had things go missing, from cutlery to food. Hope things change for the better soon, didn't want it to be like this 3 weeks in.

Moved into Portsmouth University on the 19th of September.

I will be using this space to blog pictures and my impressions of the Uni.
